On Sunday October 12 you and your old-timer are welcome in the Zeeland countryside. GCCC members Arnold and Bart have prepared a ride there for you.
It promises to be a varied ride through the Zuid-Beveland area, a region hemmed in between two branches of the River Scheldt.
Where do we start?
You are welcome between 11.30 and 12.00 h. at Partycentrum Schoudee, Schoudeeweg 1, 4424 NB Wemeldinge. Schoudee has its own large car park. Coffee/tea with pastry will be waiting for you on arrival.
What are we going to see?
The first part of the ride is done collectively, aiming for a unique private collection of special old-timers, normally not accessible to
the public. This collection is free of charge and the owner will guide us through his collection personally.
And what else is there to be seen?
The start of this ride is at Wemeldinge, situated on the eastern river arm. We will go past one of the most beautiful diving locations in the Netherlands aan de Oosterschelde. So, when the weather is fine we can not only enjoy the view of Zeelandbrug, but also of the changing divers!
Then we’re heading for Kloetinge and the pleasant Hanze city of Goes with ample cafés and terraces along Grote Markt and Kade, after which we’ll drive through the nature reserve area called ‘Zak van Zuid-Beveland‘. This is also an area renowned for fruit growing such as blackberries.
Mussels and oysters
From agriculture to fishing, we’re heading for the coast where mussels and oysters dominate in places such as Yerseke or Reimerswaal,
And after the ride?
The end of the ride is where we started, and a three course dinner can be had (€ 25.- p.p.)

duo of goat’s cheese and red beetroot
Main courses:

fried gambas ór
cannelloni stuffed with spinach and ricotta

Can I take my dog?
Yep! Dogs are allowed, but have to be kept on a leash.
What will it cost to take part?
Taking part will be € 2,50 for members and € 5,00 for guests. Included are coffee/tea and pastry. Not included are dinks as well as dinner afterwards. Please note: Partycentrum Schoudee does not accept debet or credit card!!! So make sure you’ve got enough cash on you.
