On Sunday 29 June, we will do something completely different: this time no exciting winding roads through picturesque villages and breathtaking natural beauty, but a dive into the fascinating world of our national airport.
What are we going to see?
The route is going to take us in a large circle around Schiphol and we will take a close look at various historical places, all the runways and a large number of aircraft. We will visit various spotting locations with a good view of the landing or departing aircraft (bring your picnic!). There is also an opportunity to visit the MH-17 monument and we will drive past the location of the Turkish Airlines disaster.
The start and finish is at an atmospheric and cozy catering establishment in Nieuw Vennep, where you can also enjoy a delicious dinner.
We are welcome there from 12:00 for a cup of coffee/tea with cake.
What will dinner be like?
Starter:
Pomodori soup (vegetarian)
Chef’s soup
Main course:
Chicken thigh satay
Caprese meal salad (vegetarian)
Dessert:
White chocolate ice cream with strawberries
The participation fee is €12 per person for a member and €15 per person for introductory courses. The three-course dinner is €35 per person.
Are dogs allowed?
Our four-legged friends are welcome at the restaurant, provided they are well-behaved and on a leash.
